I wonder why the religious right always link being against the death penalty with pro-choice but they never link being for the death penalty with pro life?
Death penalty; too many people have been convicted, sentenced and given the death penalty that are not guilty. DNA evidence has proven many times that the wrong person was convicted. This was so bad in Illinois that a moratorium was put on death row inmates. Until there can be a surer way of convicting the right person we have to be against the death penalty.
Pro-choice, we believe in pro-choice mainly because we do not want some other persons dictating our moral beliefs and our moral choices. Which is exactly what pro-life does. If some other persons can dictate our moral choice on abortion and right to die, they can and will dictate all our moral choices. I know of no one that wants other persons to dictate their moral believes, the religious right can't seem to get this. I have no problem with anyone preaching their beliefs, but have a huge problem with anyone trying to pass laws, appoint judges and elect officials to enforce their moral beliefs.
(From Patch; Rob has his own religion. He calls it the religion of the Sun, Moon, and Earth. His church is a tree, he takes a tree stand out to the woods and climbs 25 or 30 Ft. Up a tree, faces east and watches the sun rise. Sitting on top of a mountain will work as well as a tree. He says he doesn't have to pray, that the Sun, Moon and, Earth pray to/for him. He says they pray to him to care and love Mother Earth, to use Mother Earth's resources wisely. Mother Earth tells him that she cannot be destroyed by humans. Humans can only destroy the beauty and wonder of Earth and make Earth uninhabitable for life as humans now know it. Rob also chases UFOs and believes in intergalactic aliens, being able to travel faster then the speed of light, and at least 11 different dimensions of space and he dosn't like cats. And you wonder why Patches likes Rob.)

The Patch

From Rob; Father Sun supplies Mother Earth the energy that Mother Earth uses to produce the renewable resources that life on earth use to live, resources that can last forever. Mother Earth gives human a place to live and have a great Quality of life. That hard assed cold place the Son Moon provides a place to bury the sonsofbitches that try to destroy Mother Earth.
